The Cervera AI4ES (Network of Excellence for Data-Driven Enabling Technologies) Network of Excellence, integrated by TECNALIA and the technology centres CTIC, EURECAT, ITI, in collaboration with the Department of Health of the Generalitat de Catalunya and BASF, announces the AI4ES 2022 Datathon Awards. Leveraging AI and data analytics technologies to solve business and societal challenges that involve processing large amounts of data

Take part in our Datathon! An online limited-time competition in which participants must use their skills in handling artificial intelligence and/or Data Science technologies, as well as their creativity, to build, test and explore a solution that solves a real-world data-driven challenge. This edition is open to adults, individually or in teams. BASF and TECNALIA propose the following challenge

-Challenge 1: Detection and quantification of diseases based on drone images to protect crops

The aim of this challenge is to train a robust image regression model that processes images of individual agricultural parcels and predicts the biological value of assessing the yields of new plant protection products.
-Challenge 2: Occurrence and evolution of viral diseases (societal challenge)
The aim of this challenge is to create models capable of providing four types of prognosis for Catalan covid-19 data: 1) morbidity, 2) hospital admissions, 3) ICU, 4) deaths.
